Cooler Classic 22 — August 14th - 15th,
2010
Announcing the 22nd annual Cooler Classic!
It seems such a short time ago that we held the
first Cooler Classic at Grant Park in South Milwaukee with 13 teams
on 5 fields
in one division.
The Cooler Classic is now the third largest tourney in the Central
Region.
So get your registration in early this year.
There are several rules that must be followed to make this thing go.
Please
read your tournament program carefully and abide by those few simple
rules. It
will make our jobs much easier.
Honor the roped off areas. STAY OFF THE NEIGHBORS’ PROPERTY!!!
Anyone caught
driving on, thru, around, or over their property (including the
private gravel
driveway) may be subject to municipal fines. Their team may be
suspended from
future Cooler Classics. This problem must end now.
Finally, thanks to all you players for helping make the Cooler
Classic what it
is today.
Sausages and cheesecows are the treasures for which we all battle.
Spirit and
effort are the weapons we use. Frosty beverages are the pain killers
we need
when the day is done. All of these things will once again be here in
abundance.
So you ask what is this coveted cheesecow we speak of. Well here is
the story:
The Legend of the Cheesecow
In the beginning, there was an ultimate team. They made a
tournament, played in it, and saw that it was good. They wanted
trophies, but
had no money for real trophies. One day they came upon a cheese in
the shape of
a cow, tasted it, and saw that it was good. So they gave their
cheesecows to
their guests. Cheesecows were given in every division and special
cheesecows
are given to the earliest check received and the team who travels the
furthest.
Upon presenting cheesecows, the heads were sacrificially bitten off,
and they
saw that it was not so good. They should have peeled the WAX coating
OFF BEFORE
eating them. So be warned, all who partake in the sacrificial
cheesecow eating,
take off the wax BEFORE you bite the head. Thus is the legend of the
cheesecow.
