Tournament Director - Jim Van Lanen Moving up to A-tier in 2013 is a change of mind and design. The Silver Cup will bring championship courses, competition, and payout. Added sponsor cash for the pros, great players packages especially for the early bird sign-ups and funny money purse for the amateurs from a great selection of vendors. Food, beverages, spectator events and a huge prize raffle. Friday random draw doubles and Sunday Safari skins for the top 5 open players.
The inaugural “Silver Cup at Manitowalk in the Park” will raise awareness of Wisconsin disc golf through a nationally attended and promoted event. A “showcase” tournament for the Wisconsin Disc Golf Tour and a qualifying event for the Vibram Open, the stage is set with the professional layout at Rollin’ Ridge DGC and the new 27 hole layout at Silver Creek plus new championship basket placements at Lower Cato Falls. Tournament Director - Mike Matteson We are from the Fond du Lac area and work with the Fond du Lac Disc Club to promote fun events and disc golf locally.
A 3 round doubles tournament featuring: 1 Round Best Shot, 1 Round one disc (Midrange Only), 1 Glow Round. Each Round will be scored as its own individual event. We will play two rounds then pause to eat and listen to Wisconsin’s own Tugg, a band based in La Crosse, and discgolfers themseleves. This event will focus on fun. We will play the first two rounds then head to Parrot Palms for food, libations, and music. Browse the flymart, grab something to eat and drink, while we wait for dusk and the final glow round. Specials for discgolfers will be available from Parrot Palms.
Proceeds from this event will be donated directly to the new course fund for the newly approved 18 hole course in Fond du Lac.
